Mar 30 | Hi students... This is going to be a confusing stretch. Here is the most useful/coherent post that I can come up with at this point: 1) The school will be providing daily updates on the School Homepage 2) The most useful thing you can do right now, is make sure your e-mail address is current on MyEdBc. Remember, your username is your student number. Teachers will be using this to try to send e-mails to classes at some point soon (probably later this week.) 3) I think we will probably be using Microsoft Teams going forward. It will be helpful if you can try to get comfortable logging in to Office 365 using your school district account (ie: same username [add @surreyschools.ca] & password as you use for the school computers) 4) I will try to be in touch with you later in this week. 5) Feel free to share this post with your friends. Mr. Hapke Update: I forgot: when logging in to Office 365, add @surreyschools.ca to your username. |
Apr 1 | Hi students, 1) I sent you and your parents an email today. I hope you received it. Our first order of business as a school is confirming student and parent contact information. If you didn’t receive it, please send me an email (hapke_n@surreyschools.ca) and I will follow up with you. 2) I (and many of your other teachers) will be using Microsoft teams to communicate over the next while, please follow these instructions to join the group, with the join code: 0spoxt8 If the SurreySchools website is overloaded (which has been happening over the past few days), an alternative way to log in is by going to Office.com, and using your username which you use in the school computer labs and add @surreyschools.ca at the end. You may also want to consider downloading the Microsoft Teams program from the Microsoft website. 3) I will do my best to be in contact again later in this week (probably Friday). Please follow the website and the Microsoft teams group. 4) If you can text a couple classmates to let them know about my e-mail, and this post, that would be very helpful. I hope that as a family you are in good health, talk to you soon. Mr. Hapke |
Apr 3 | Just posted an update on our MS Teams channel. Please log in with the instructions in the post above, and follow up with me there. Thanks! |
